

Working and Studying Youth

Was established in 1924 in the Land of Israel, by working youth who came together to defend their rights in their workplace
Today, the movement is in its nineties, and it is large and varied. The movement has hundreds of branches, nests and clubs throughout the country. With tens of thousands of girls and boys each, in accordance with his special needs, cultural heritage and the spirit of the environment in which he grew up.
The counselors and apprentices conduct significant activities in light of shared values and goals: equality of human value, Zionism, fulfillment, social justice, coexistence between Jews and Arabs, social involvement, striving for peace and the existence of a democratic, moral and just society
. The activity takes place twice a week. The activities at their core are divided into value-based actions, current events, activities in the field of patrols and camping, cultural evenings (evenings of fun and consolidation) and foreign activities.
The members of the movement can be identified by the blue shirt that symbolizes the workers 'working class, and the red string that symbolizes the workers' blood and the socialist positions of the movement.
The slogan of the movement is "for work, for defense and for peace - for the rise and the rain". This slogan expresses the four important values of the movement: Zionism, Socialism, Peace and Democracy.
